Val is glad none of the priests she knew as a kid have been named (yet) and Patti might get a little angry. Join us on this walk down the church aisle as we look at the latest scandal to hit the Catholic world. 

On this all new episode of Just the Worst: Valentina and Patti have been busy WORKING. But! They still have time to solve celebrity relationship problems, decide which lunch delivery services are the best, and wonder how they ever became friends. Also, Patti begins to get suspicious that Val is getting a better outlook on life and what will that mean for the pod?!

We hit a milestone with this episode - the big 5-0! Unfortunately, neither of us thought about this ahead of time and therefore didn't plan anything special. Or plan anything at all. We will make it up to you. In the meantime, enjoy some banter about first dates, shades of grey, cent's, etc.

Hey everyone! Did you know that prisons are a for-profit business? At least some of them are, particularly the ones used for immigration detention. It's probably a total coincidence that the biggest players in the "corrections industry" both dontated $250k to Trump's inauguration celebration, after which his administration both reversed Obama's plan to reduce the number of private prisons and excelerated immigration prosecutions. Right? It's gotta be a coincidence. There are A LOT of those that somehow benefit a small number of people if you look into it a little. But it's gotta be just a coincidence...

Well, break is over and we're back! Turns out the world hasn't changed for the better over the last few weeks so we won't be running out of topics any time soon. But we don't have one for this episode. Topic, that is. It's just us, catching up, talking geography, dying squirrels, the dramatic stylings of professional soccer players, and things you can do with dead bodies. Nope. Uh uh. This is just wrong. Episode 45 is about the all-too-prevelant phenomenon of child marriage. And while it does on occasion happen with boys, it is much more common for young girls to be married off to, you guessed it, older men. From the Middle East and Africa to Guatamala and New Jersey (yep, you read that right), little girls are becoming wives and mothers much to young, and most often not by their own choice.
